Revealing His Plan

Surely the Sovereign Lord does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets. The Sovereign Lord has spoken— who can but prophesy? (Amos 3:7-8, NIV 1984).

My Musings – Yet far too many do not listen. The Old Testament is full of prophecies that revealed much about the Messiah’s coming. And when He did, they did not recognize Him.

My Advice“The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants what must soon take place.” (Revelation 1:1, NIV 1984). An entire book of the New Testament that reveals much about the circumstances leading up to the Messiah’s return. And when He comes, all will recognize Him.

But He will not recognize all of them. “I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'” (Matthew 7:23, NIV 1984). The things that they did to gain recognition as His child, were not sufficient. Because it has never been about what they did. It’s always been about what He had done.

Let’s make sure He recognizes us.
