My Musings – I acknowledge one baptism [as an act of obedience and as a symbol of] the remission of sins. (The Nicene Creed [edited]). Clearly baptism is not a requirement of salvation (the thief on the cross), but is expected as an act of obedience and is symbolic what has taken place when one places their faith in Jesus Christ — “having been buried with him in baptism and raised with him through your faith in the power of God, who raised him from the dead.” (Colossians 2:12, NIV 1984). It is the blood of Jesus that washes away our sin, which is symbolized by water baptism.
My Advice – Place your faith in Jesus Christ (grace alone) and be baptized as a public witness of what has taken place in your life and as an act of obedience.
