My Musings – How does one move from “weary and burdened” to “easy and light?” By being “gentle and humble.” By being imitators of Christ. In Jesus’ day, the Jews were looking for a political or militant solution to their years of bondage. Their early excitement over Jesus (“could this be the Messiah“) gave way to disillusionment and hostility, as gentleness and humility did not quite meet their expectations of a deliverer.
