Consider This

My Musings – Perplexed, filled with uncertainty, confusion, doubt, concerned, worried – “greatly troubled.”  Unmarried (having never “known” a man – a virgin), yet pregnant.  Yeah, greatly troubled probably covers it.  Joseph had to consider the news too and was probably filled with his own uncertainty and doubt.  What could this possibly mean for them?  Yet they did not despair (having an utter loss of hope).

My Advice – Absent His first coming, to die for our sins, we would be utterly without hope.  That would be something to be greatly troubled about.  But we need not be if we have accepted His gift.

I was raised in a Christian family and my earliest childhood memories include regular Sunday school and Church attendance as a family. I was taught that our Judeo-Christian values were not just a part of our Sunday routine they should be part of our character and influence all aspects of our lives. I was also taught that as important as these values were they could not save us. We must also be “born again” by accepting Christ.
