Be Careful Who You Imitate

2 Kings 17:15 – They imitated the nations around them although the Lord ordered them, “Do not do as they do.” (NIV 1978)

My Musing – We must live in the world, but we do not have to behave like the worldly.

My Advice – Be different. Distinguish yourself from friends, co-workers and peers who might be worldly, by following God’s standards rather than those of this world. Do this in a way that is not arrogant or holier-than-thou, so that others will admire you and want to be imitators of you, rather than being resentful or turned-off.
