Walk Securely, Walk Straight

Proverbs 10:9 – The man of integrity walks securely, but he who takes crooked paths will be found out. (NIV 1978)

My Musings – An honest man walks securely, because he never has to wonder when (not if) his deceit will begin to unravel and how severe the repercussions might be.

My Advice – Cutting corners, or fudging the truth will not give you permanent gains. What you might gain for a short time, will always come back to haunt you. Do it right and do it honestly the first time and you will never have to worry about this.

I was raised in a Christian family and my earliest childhood memories include regular Sunday school and Church attendance as a family. I was taught that our Judeo-Christian values were not just a part of our Sunday routine they should be part of our character and influence all aspects of our lives. I was also taught that as important as these values were they could not save us. We must also be “born again” by accepting Christ.
