Not All Who Wander Are Lost?

Amos 8:11, 12 – “The days are coming,” declares the Sovereign Lord, “when I will send a famine on the land – not a famine of food or a thirst for water, but a famine of hearing the words of the Lord. Men will stagger from sea to sea and wander from north to east, searching for the Word of the Lord, but they will not find it.” (NIV 1978)

My Musings – We can drift so far apart from the Lord that we no longer hear His word.

My Advice – Do not wander away from God. Stay connected so that when you search for a word from Him, He will send it.

I was raised in a Christian family and my earliest childhood memories include regular Sunday school and Church attendance as a family. I was taught that our Judeo-Christian values were not just a part of our Sunday routine they should be part of our character and influence all aspects of our lives. I was also taught that as important as these values were they could not save us. We must also be “born again” by accepting Christ.
