Cross-Examination

Now the Bereans were of more noble character than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.”  (Acts 17:11, NIV 1984).

My Musings – I do my very best to make sure that the things I blog are sound in doctrine and consistent with the word.  But my writings are not inspired in the same sense that the Scriptures are inspired (“God-breathed“), nor do they carry the authority of the Word.

My Advice – So whether it is my blog or someone else’s, you owe it to yourself to examine the Scriptures yourself to make sure they contain the truth.

I was raised in a Christian family and my earliest childhood memories include regular Sunday school and Church attendance as a family. I was taught that our Judeo-Christian values were not just a part of our Sunday routine they should be part of our character and influence all aspects of our lives. I was also taught that as important as these values were they could not save us. We must also be “born again” by accepting Christ.
