Secrets of My Success

Original post June 21, 2019. This was included in “A Dad’s Devotions,” a 365 day collection of devotionals I wrote for my son Joel on his college graduation. Seems like a fitting post to re-blog on Father’s Day.

1 Chronicles 22:11-13 – Now, my son, the LORD be with you, and may you have success and build the house of the LORD your God, as he said you would. May the LORD give you discretion and understanding when he puts you in command over Israel, so that you may keep the law of the LORD your God. I was raised in a Christian family and my earliest childhood memories include regular Sunday school and Church attendance as a family. I was taught that our Judeo-Christian values were not just a part of our Sunday routine they should be part of our character and influence all aspects of our lives. I was also taught that as important as these values were they could not save us. We must also be “born again” by accepting Christ.
