My Musings – There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies and statistics. ~ Attributed to Benjamin Disraeli (1804 – 1881) British prime minister. In our day, I think we can add a fourth, the internet.

The truth seems to be such a rare commodity these days. We seem to want to devise what it is that we want to believe, what it is that we want to be the truth, and then craft the “lies, damned lies and statistics” to support it. Nothing seems more contradictory to me than the phrase “spin the truth.” The…

I was raised in a Christian family and my earliest childhood memories include regular Sunday school and Church attendance as a family. I was taught that our Judeo-Christian values were not just a part of our Sunday routine they should be part of our character and influence all aspects of our lives.
