Job 1:21 – “Naked I came from my mother’s womb,  and naked I will depart.  The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away; may the name of the LORD be praised.” (NIV 1984)

My Musing – In reality, you can take it with you.  Not the possessions you might accumulate in this life of course.  You might actually die with these things possessing you instead of you possessing them.  Whichever is the case, you must relinquish them as you pass into eternity – whatever your final destination.  But there are some things that you can take with you.

I was raised in a Christian family and my earliest childhood memories include regular Sunday school and Church attendance as a family. I was taught that our Judeo-Christian values were not just a part of our Sunday routine they should be part of our character and influence all aspects of our lives. I was also taught that as important as these values were they could not save us. We must also be “born again” by accepting Christ.
