“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth…[but] the LORD God banished [the man and woman] from the Garden of Eden.” (Genesis 1:1, 23, NIV 1984).
“Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away…Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them.” (Revelation 21:1, 3, NIV 1984).
My Musings – Had things gone differently there would have been no need for a “new heaven and a new earth.” But sin entered paradise and “the first heaven and first earth [began to pass] away.” When sin entered the world “God banished [the man and woman] from [paradise].” Had things gone differently (“Shall I not drink the cup the Father has given me?” — John 18:11, NIV 1984), it would never be possible for…
