They Took Note

Then all the disciples deserted him and fled. (Mathew 26:56, NIV 1984).

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 1:8, NIV 1984).

When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus. (Acts 4:13, NIV 1984).

My Musings – They had been with Jesus for three years, had been taught much but did not yet fully understand. The power of the cross and His resurrection not yet fully realized. So they deserted Him, fled and went into hiding in fear. That was Friday night.
