The Brew Is A Musing

“Where were you when I laid the earth’s foundation? Tell me, if you understand. Who marked off its dimensions? Surely you know! Who stretched a measuring line across it? My Musings – I think most are somewhat familiar with the core disagreement between creationists and many (not all) scientists. Intelligent design by an intelligent designer over perhaps a very short period of time (seven literal days) versus random chance combined with natural selection over a very long period of time (billions and billions of years). Both sides are fairly well entrenched in their viewpoint and convincing either to move away from theirs is very difficult if not unlikely. I was raised in a Christian family and my earliest childhood memories include regular Sunday school and Church attendance as a family. I was taught that our Judeo-Christian values were not just a part of our Sunday routine they should be part of our character and influence all aspects of our lives. I was also taught that as important as these values were they could not save us. We must also be “born again” by accepting Christ.
