A Friendly Reminder

Remind the people to be subject to rulers and authorities, to be obedient. (Titus 3:1–2, NIV 1984).

My Musings – After an election, even if (especially if) the results are not what we wanted, it is good to be reminded that we are still to be subject to the rulers and authorities. We do not get to choose who we are to be obedient to. Unless it is contrary to God’s Word.

My Advice – Gripe and complain if you like. It seems to be an American birthright to do so about our elected officials. But when it comes right down to it, be a good citizen.

I was raised in a Christian family and my earliest childhood memories include regular Sunday school and Church attendance as a family. I was taught that our Judeo-Christian values were not just a part of our Sunday routine they should be part of our character and influence all aspects of our lives. I was also taught that as important as these values were they could not save us. We must also be “born again” by accepting Christ.
