The Brew Is A Musing

If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. If you suffer, it should not be as a [sinner]. However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name. (1 Peter 4:14–16, NIV 1984).

My Musings – It used to be “if.” Now it is “when.” This just simply means that the blessings are multiplying. “TheSpirit of glory and of God [that] rests on [us]” is an ever-increasing glory.

My Advice – Let’s not bear the ridicule in shame, but in pride that we bear His name. Nor should we respond in kind to those who insult and ridicule us. For “what will the outcome be for those who do not obey the gospel of God? And, ‘If it is hard for…
