You have taken off your old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator. My Musings – In a world of people dominated by the “old self” there is division. There is bias. There is bigotry. There is racism. If this were not so, there would be no genocide, no ethnic “cleansing,” no holocausts, no involuntary “servitude,” no cultural divides, no Jim Crow laws, no class warfare. These are all consequences of the fall.

I was raised in a Christian family and my earliest childhood memories include regular Sunday school and Church attendance as a family. I was taught that our Judeo-Christian values were not just a part of our Sunday routine they should be part of our character and influence all aspects of our lives. I was also taught that as important as these values were they could not save us. We must also be “born again” by accepting Christ.
