No More Death

And they will reign for ever and ever.  (Revelation 22:5b, NIV 1984).

My Musings – The saints will reign with Christ with a glory that will likely transcend what was experienced in their reign over the millennial nations described in Revelation 20:4, 6.   That reign was but for a limited time (a thousand years).  This final reign will be “forever and ever.”

My Advice – On the day that Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit, death entered the world.  At Calvary, death was conquered, making the fruit of the Tree of Life freely available to all who believe and receive. “When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: ‘Death has been swallowed up in victory. Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?’ The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Corinthians 15:54–57, NIV 1984).

I was raised in a Christian family and my earliest childhood memories include regular Sunday school and Church attendance as a family. I was taught that our Judeo-Christian values were not just a part of our Sunday routine they should be part of our character and influence all aspects of our lives. I was also taught that as important as these values were they could not save us. We must also be “born again” by accepting Christ.
