God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you, my body longs for you, in a dry and weary land where there is no water. (Psalm 63:1, NIV 1984).
My Musings – Without God, all is dry and weary. But God tells us to “call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” (Jeremiah 29:12-13, NIV 1984). Seek “earnestly,” with a “soul [that] thirsts” and with a “body [that] longs” for Him. Then, even in “a dry and weary land where there is no water,” we will thirst no more. For, Jesus says “whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”
My Advice – Are you thirsty? Really thirsty? “The Spirit and the bride say, ‘Come!’ And let him who hears say, ‘Come!’ Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life.” (Revelation 22:17, NIV 1984). “Come to [Him] and drink.” (John 7:37, NIV 1984).
