Damaged Books

Author: thebrewisamusing

I was raised in a Christian family and my earliest childhood memories include regular Sunday school and Church attendance as a family. I was taught that our Judeo-Christian values were not just a part of our Sunday routine they should be part of our character and influence all aspects of our lives. I was also taught that as important as these values were they could not save us. We must also be “born again” by accepting Christ.

  1. I have two Bibles I use regularly. My soft-bound Bible is good for looking up scripture and taking to Bible studies. It has thicker pages and is love worn. I read my Teal leather-bound Bible, a gift from my daughter, daily. I handle its delicate pages gingerly. I guess my feelings about it are comparable to not wearing your church clothes to play in when you’re a child. Your Bibles are likely all worn to a frazzle! 🙂

    1. I have several printed copies of the Bible, but my “go to” is an NIV Thompson chain reference. Not quite worn to a frazzle, let’s just say it has “character.” I also have Logos software on my laptop, which has proven invaluable when writing my musings.
