“Before me no god was formed, nor will there be one after me. I, even I, am the Lord, and apart from me there is no savior. I have revealed and saved and proclaimed— I, and not some foreign god among you. You are my witnesses,” declares the Lord, “that I am God. Yes, and from ancient days I am he. No one can deliver out of my hand. When I act, who can reverse it?” (Isaiah 43:10–13, NIV 1984).
My Musings – Today, people are looking beyond God for what came before, how it all began. There is nothing beyond God, or beside God. Today, people are looking around for other means of salvation. “Apart from [Jesus] there is no Savior.” One day, people who reject Christ will be looking for ways to escape the coming judgment. But “no one can deliver out of [God’s] hand. When [He acts], who can reverse it?”
My Advice – “There is one body and one Spirit— just as you were called to one hope when you were called— one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.” (Ephesians 4:4–6, NIV 1984). It really is that simple. Only one belief and no other. So, believe.
