Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one He has sent. (John 6:29, NIV 1984).
My Musings – This was Jesus’ response to a simple question. “What must we do to do the works God requires?” (John 6:28, NIV 1984). They had heard His words and seen His work, leading them to believe He had the answers. And He did, for “the Father has sent His Son to be the Savior of the world.” 1 John 4:14, NIV 1984). The “work of God” is the only “work” that God will accept, that is “to believe in the one He has sent.“
My Advice – “Look! The Lord is coming from His dwelling place; He comes down and treads the high places of the earth.” (Micah 1:3, NIV 1984). He came to work salvation. We must believe. That is the only “work” that we can do.
