Believe on the Evidence of the Miracles

“When the Christ comes, will he do more miraculous signs than this man?” (John 7:31, NIV 1984).

My Musings – This is why the critics must dispute the Gospel accounts. For if what is recorded there is accurate and true, the answer is clear. “It is the Father, living in me [Jesus], who is doing his work. Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the miracles themselves.” (John 14:10–11, NIV 1984).

My Advice“When [we] consider [God’s] heavens, the work of [His] fingers, the moon and the stars, which [He] set in place,” (Psalm 8:3, NIV 1984), how can we possibly find it hard to believe that His Son did what He did? Even rising from the dead. “Believe [Him] when [He says] that [He is] in the Father and the Father is in [Him].

I was raised in a Christian family and my earliest childhood memories include regular Sunday school and Church attendance as a family. I was taught that our Judeo-Christian values were not just a part of our Sunday routine they should be part of our character and influence all aspects of our lives. I was also taught that as important as these values were they could not save us. We must also be “born again” by accepting Christ.
