Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved. (Acts 4:12, NIV 1984).
My Musings – That first Easter morning, the women who came to Jesus’ tomb were asked, “Why do you look for the living among the dead?” (Luke 24:5, NIV 1984). In these last days, many are looking for life after death among the dead. No other religion has a founder who rose from the dead. “Other lords besides you have ruled over us, but your name alone do we honor. They are now dead, they live no more; those departed spirits do not rise.” (Isaia h26:13–14, NIV 1984).
Honestly, that should be all we need to know in our search for eternal life. How can a dead spirit offer us what they could not attain for themself?
My Advice – Don’t look for it among the dead. It cannot be found there. Look for salvation from the one who rose from the dead, not from “departed spirits [who did] not rise.”
