Whatever Happens

Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. (Philippians 1:27, NIV 1984).

My Musings – “Whatever happens.” This is quite the challenge. In other words, no matter what. Nothing we encounter should cause us to deviate from living the transformed life that Christ has called us to.

“Worthy of the Gospel.” To put this into perspective, what is the gospel worth? Makes the charge that much challenging, doesn’t it? Impossible, really, if we go it alone. But “[we] can do all things through him who strengthens [us].” (Philippians 4:13, NIV 1984). All things worthy of the Gospel, that is.

My Advice – “Whatever happens” let’s not go it alone. “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9, NIV 1984). No matter what.
