My Musings – An incredible statement. His work, the salvation of mankind. Finished before the fall. Before Jesus uttered these words on the cross, “it is finished,” (John 19:30, NIV 1984). Before the resurrection. “He has risen! He is not here.” (Mark 16:6, NIV 1984). Before all of this, He knew the cost. But before all this He also knew the outcome.
My Advice – “The Lord looked and was displeased that there was no justice. He saw that there was no one, he was appalled that there was no one to intervene; so his own arm worked salvation.” (Isaiah 59:15–16, NIV 1984). God intervened on our behalf. Decided to do so before it was necessary. Knowing that it would be. Our work, on the other hand, is not finished until we accept His salvation. Justice will be served one way or another. By Christ or us.
