Like A Thief

The day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare. Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? (2 Peter 3:10–11, NIV 1984).

My Musings – “Like a thief.” Unannounced and unexpected. “Therefore, keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour.” (Matthew 25:13, NIV 1984).

My Advice – “Alas for that day! For the day of the Lord is near; it will come like destruction from the Almighty.” (Joel 1:15, NIV 1984). We better be ready for the destructions that is coming, by being the “kind of people [we] ought…to be.”
