Soon

Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life. He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon.” (Revelation 22:17, 20, NIV 1984).

My Musings“Let him come. Let him take” Who is him or (her)? “Whoever is thirsty. Whoever wishes.” Why is that? Because it is a “free gift.” But not everyone will come and take. Perhaps because they think they have more time.

My Advice – Time is growing short. “[He] is coming soon.” One way or another it may be sooner that we think or expect. For, “[He has] made [our] days a mere handbreadth; the span of [our] years is as nothing before [Him]. Each man’s life is but a breath.” (Psalm 39:5, NIV 1984). “Come” to Him while there is still time before He comes for you.

I was raised in a Christian family and my earliest childhood memories include regular Sunday school and Church attendance as a family. I was taught that our Judeo-Christian values were not just a part of our Sunday routine they should be part of our character and influence all aspects of our lives. I was also taught that as important as these values were they could not save us. We must also be “born again” by accepting Christ.
