Never Go Hungry

Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry. (John 6:35, NIV 1984).

My Musings – “As God is my witness, I’ll never be hungry again.” – Scarlett O’Hara (Vivien Leigh), Gone with the Wind.

Even the most irreligious have a deep-seated hunger that yearns to be satisfied. Pursuing one thing after another that never totally satisfies and never really lasts. All the while neglecting His call, “He who comes to me will never go hungry.”

My Advice – Heed the call to come. “As God is my witness, ‘he who feeds on this bread will live forever.’ (John 6:58, NIV 1984). And it’s gluten free.

I was raised in a Christian family and my earliest childhood memories include regular Sunday school and Church attendance as a family. I was taught that our Judeo-Christian values were not just a part of our Sunday routine they should be part of our character and influence all aspects of our lives. I was also taught that as important as these values were they could not save us. We must also be “born again” by accepting Christ.
