Listen and Pay Attention

Though the Lord has sent all his servants the prophets to [us] again and again, [we] have not listened or paid any attention. (Jeremiah 25:4, NIV 1984).

Last of all, [God] sent His Son to [us]. “They will respect my Son,” He said. [But we] took Him…and killed Him. (Matthew 21:37, 39, NIV 1984).

The world [does not] accept Him, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. (John 14:17, NIV 1984).

There is a judge for the one who rejects me and does not accept my words; that very word which I spoke will condemn him at the last day. (John 12:47–48, NIV 1984).

My Musings – Today, “His name is the only name governments ban, cultures mock, demons fear, and persecuted believers cling to with their lives.” (www.sanctified-ish,com). This should be enough to tell us that He is someone to be “listened [and] paid…attention” to. A life that divided the calendar, while reconciling us to God.

My Advice – God has done all that He can do. “Sent all his servants the prophets to [us] again and again” and “last of all, [God] sent His Son to [us].” The rest is up to us. To “see Him” for what He did. To “know Him” for who He really is. The consequence for those “who rejects [Him] and does not accept [His] words” is too great.
