“We do not want you to be ignorant about those who fall asleep, or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope.” (1 Thessalonians 4:13, NIV 1984).
My Musings – “No, I would not give you false hope, on this strange and mournful day. But the mother and child reunion, is only a motion away.” (Mother and Child Reunion, Paul Simon).
Yes, it was a strange and mournful day when they left us. But we do not have a false hope nor do we have no hope. For this mother and child are spending their first Christmas together since 1992. So, while we still grieve their loss to us, we rejoice in the mother and child reunion. Because “[someday] we’ll come to the end of life’s journey [and] will meet you on that beautiful shore.” (from “If We Never Meet Again This Side of Heaven, by Alfred R. Brumley).
My Advice – Don’t count on false hope. It won’t get you to the beautiful shore.
