The Samaritan woman said to him, “You are a Jew and I am a Samaritan woman. How can you ask me for a drink?” (For Jews do not associate with Samaritans.) Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.” (John 4:9–10, NIV 1984).
My Musings – “If you knew…you would have asked.” Let that thought sink in. “If…you would.” Why is it that so many do not ask for this “living water?” Because that’s all you have to do is ask. What could be more simple than that? Actually nothing. But the problem is that people either do not take the time to know, or they refuse to know.
My Advice – Get to “know” Him. A relationship with Him is yours for the asking. Even if you are a “Samaritan.”
