“Who is this that darkens my counsel with words without knowledge? Where were you when I laid the earth’s foundation? Tell me, if you understand. Who marked off its dimensions? Surely you know! Do you know the laws of the heavens? Will the one who contends with the Almighty correct him?” (Job 38:2-5, 33 and Job 40:2, NIV 1984).
My Musings – I may not know much about the origin of things, but I know enough not to “contend with the Almighty to correct Him,” or otherwise “darken [His] counsel.” I was not there, nor were any of today’s so-called scientific experts who claim to “know the laws of the heavens” and perhaps even how to “[mark] off its dimensions.“
My Advice – “Brace yourself like a man; I will question you, and you shall answer me.” (Job 38:3, NIV 1984). My answer would be, “in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” (Genesis 1:1, NIV 1984). I hope that will be your answer too.
