Everything You Could Not Be

“Therefore, my brothers, I want you to know that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you. Through him everyone who believes is justified from everything you could not be justified from by the law of Moses.”  (Acts 13:38–39, NIV 1984).

My Musings – I think we can all relate to the above comic.  Thinking (insisting) that we can do it ourselves only to find our efforts are not up to the task. In the case of salvation, we never will be able to do it for ourselves.  We will never be up to the task.  The ultimate purpose of the law is to show us that we cannot do it for ourselves.  That we never will be able to do…
