Too Wonderful To Know

“Who is like you – majestic in holiness, awesome in glory, working wonders?” (Exodus 15:11, NIV 1984).

My Musings“How faint the whisper” (Job 26:14).

  • Majestic (impressive beauty or dignity) in Holiness (set apart and perfect).
  • Awesome (overwhelming feeling of reverence, admiration, or fear) in Glory (very great praise, honor, or distinction bestowed by common consent).
  • Working (able to complete a task or a job) Wonders (beautiful, unexpected, unfamiliar, or inexplicable)

How faint indeed.

My Advice – Do not take God for granted, deal with Him casually, or be dismissive of Him.  “Surely [we speak] of things [we do] not understand,
things too wonderful for [us] to know.” (Job 42:3, NIV 1984).

I was raised in a Christian family and my earliest childhood memories include regular Sunday school and Church attendance as a family. I was taught that our Judeo-Christian values were not just a part of our Sunday routine they should be part of our character and influence all aspects of our lives. I was also taught that as important as these values were they could not save us. We must also be “born again” by accepting Christ.
