The LORD foils the plans of the nations; he thwarts the purposes of the peoples. But the plans of the LORD stand firm forever, the purposes of his heart through all generations. No king is saved by the size of his army; no warrior escapes by his great strength. A horse is a vain hope for deliverance; despite all its great strength it cannot save. We wait in hope for the LORD; he is our help and our shield. My Musings – If we work at cross-purposes to the plans of the Lord God Almighty, He will “foil [our] plans” and “thwart [our] purposes.”  Our plans will crumble and fall, while His “stand firm forever.”  Our great strength cannot save or salvage our plans.  Out best course…

I was raised in a Christian family and my earliest childhood memories include regular Sunday school and Church attendance as a family. I was taught that our Judeo-Christian values were not just a part of our Sunday routine they should be part of our character and influence all aspects of our lives. I was also taught that as important as these values were they could not save us. We must also be “born again” by accepting Christ.
