You turn things upside down, as if the potter were thought to be like the clay! Shall what is formed say to him who formed it, “He did not make me”? Can the pot say of the potter, “He knows nothing?” (Isaiah 29:16, NIV 1984). 

My Musings – Our culture is increasingly elevated itself to such an extent that it looks down on God.  That is, if it even acknowledges God at all.  How can a God allow such and such to happen?  How can a compassionate God deny us these pleasures?  A loving God would not punish anyone so severely.  What gives God the right to place these boundaries on us?  Or perhaps the worst of all — if I were God I would do this or wouldn’t do that.

We act as if we are so wise and noble and that He “knows nothing.”  We have…

I was raised in a Christian family and my earliest childhood memories include regular Sunday school and Church attendance as a family. I was taught that our Judeo-Christian values were not just a part of our Sunday routine they should be part of our character and influence all aspects of our lives. I was also taught that as important as these values were they could not save us. We must also be “born again” by accepting Christ.
