“Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame.” For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (Romans 10:10–13, NIV 1984). 

My Musings – The oxygen masks have dropped, the cabin is de-pressurizing and the aircraft is in a dive.  Yet no one makes an effort to put on the masks.  Why not?  They all feel they are going to die anyway, so what’s the use?  They don’t believe in them?  They probably won’t work, so why bother?  I’ve got plenty of time, why rush?  They’re pretty sure things will work out in the end?

Do these excuses sound preposterous?  Of course they do!  And yet in the fear of what might come after death, many people still refuse to…

I was raised in a Christian family and my earliest childhood memories include regular Sunday school and Church attendance as a family. I was taught that our Judeo-Christian values were not just a part of our Sunday routine they should be part of our character and influence all aspects of our lives. I was also taught that as important as these values were they could not save us. We must also be “born again” by accepting Christ.
