Man’s anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires. (James 1:20, NIV 1984).

My Musings – What makes you angry? Is it about things that “bring about the righteous life that God desires?” If not, it is “man’s anger,” not a righteous anger. Man’s anger is driven by the “moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent” in the world system, not by “humbly accept[ing] the word planted in [us].” (James 1:21, NIV 1984). It is nearly impossible “in [man’s] anger [to] not sin.” (Ephesians 4:26, NIV 1984). So, it is very important for us to study the life of Jesus, who was “gentle and humble.” To learn what brought about the “righteous anger” that He sometimes exhibited, “yet without sin.

I was raised in a Christian family and my earliest childhood memories include regular Sunday school and Church attendance as a family. I was taught that our Judeo-Christian values were not just a part of our Sunday routine they should be part of our character and influence all aspects of our lives. I was also taught that as important as these values were they could not save us. We must also be “born again” by accepting Christ.
