If We Have the Strength

The length of our days is seventy years— or eighty, if we have the strength. (Psalm 90:10, NIV 1984).

My Musings – Today, I turn seventy years old and am retiring after a forty-eight-year career in accounting, finance and tax. I think I have a bit of strength left in me before the Lord calls me home and reunites me with my wife, eldest son and dad.

But for now, I turn a new page in “Our Family Album.” Let the adventure begin.

I was raised in a Christian family and my earliest childhood memories include regular Sunday school and Church attendance as a family. I was taught that our Judeo-Christian values were not just a part of our Sunday routine they should be part of our character and influence all aspects of our lives. I was also taught that as important as these values were they could not save us. We must also be “born again” by accepting Christ.
