Taking Refuge

Ruth 2:12“May the Lord repay you for what you have done. May you be richly rewarded by the Lord, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge.” (NIV 1978)

My Musing – We will never be disappointed by God when we look to Him for refuge.

My Advice – There are so many places you can go for answers and comfort. Many will disappoint you or let you down. Go to the one source, God, who will never disappoint you or let you down. You may get answers that you do not like, but you will never get answers that are wrong.

I was raised in a Christian family and my earliest childhood memories include regular Sunday school and Church attendance as a family. I was taught that our Judeo-Christian values were not just a part of our Sunday routine they should be part of our character and influence all aspects of our lives. I was also taught that as important as these values were they could not save us. We must also be “born again” by accepting Christ.

  1. And a man shall be as an hiding place from the wind, and a covert from the tempest; as rivers of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a weary land.
