GREAT MULTITUDE – After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. And they cried out in a loud voice: “Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.” All the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures. They fell down on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, saying: “Amen! Praise and glory and wisdom and thanks and honor and power and strength be to our God for ever and ever. Amen!” (Revelation 7:9-12)

Job 38:2 – “Who is this that darkens my counsel with words without knowledge?”
My Musing – As children of God, through the blood of Jesus Christ, we have the privilege of being able to approach the throne of God with confidence. Let’s not abuse that privilege. We should be respectful, humble and thankful before Him.
My Advice – God’s counsel is beyond our comprehension. When things are not going the way you like or think that they should, it is okay to ask God why. But don’t do it in a way that challenges Him with words without knowledge. He knows what is best and when is best.
Why This Group in Tribulation – The following text from Daniel is often used to explain Israel’s role in the last days, specifically the seven years of tribulation.
“Seventy ‘sevens’ are decreed for your people [Israel] and your holy city [Jerusalem] to finish transgression, to put an end to sin, to atone for wickedness, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the most holy. Know and understand this: From the issuing of the decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until the Anointed One, the ruler, comes, there will be seven ‘sevens,’ and sixty-two ‘sevens.’ It will be rebuilt with streets and a trench, but in times of trouble. After the sixty-two ‘sevens,’ the Anointed One will be cut off and will have nothing. The people of the ruler who will come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end will come like a flood: War will continue until the end, and desolations have been decreed. He will confirm a covenant with many for one ‘seven.’ In the middle of the ‘seven’ he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on a wing of the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out.” (Daniel 9:24-27)
This text from Daniel is rather cryptic, with at least four puzzling questions that need to be answered to gain a better understanding of what Daniel is prophesying: Continue reading “Israel’s Missing Week”
Job 25:14 – “And these are but the outer fringe of His works; how faint the whisper we hear of Him!”
My Musings – Read the verses that precede this one and be prepared to be overwhelmed by the creative genius and majesty of God. Then consider that it is only a tiny fraction of what and who He really is. If there ever was a good use of the word awesome, this is it.
My Advice – Make sure your prayer life is more than just requests. Thank Him when He answers your prayers. Praise Him just for the sake of doing so. Acknowledge His awesome power and might.
