But their minds were closed. For to this very day, the same veil remains when they hear the old covenant read. It has not been removed because only in Christ is it taken away. But until this very day whenever Moses is read, a veil lies over their minds, but when one turns to the Lord, the veil is removed. (2 Corinthians 3:14–16, NET 2005).
My Musings – It may be the old covenant. It may be karma. It may be any number of religions that deny the atoning sacrifice of Jesus. Things that keep our minds closed and the truth veiled. Only by turning to Christ is the veil removed and our minds opened to the truth.
My Advice – “Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. If you really knew Me, you would know my Father as well.'” (John 14:6–7, NIV 1984).
This may very well be the most quoted verse in all my blogs. For good reason. “Because only in Christ is [the veil] taken away.” And only in Christ alone. Turn away from all else. “[Turn] to the Lord.”
