“Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.” (Luke 16:10 NIV 1984). 

My Musings – A daily briefing that I get in my e-mail always ends with a bit of levity to help make the news a little easier to digest.  This morning it went like this:  “I want my 13-year-old to understand how important honesty is but also know that she is 12 when kids eat free.”—Simon Holland (@simoncholland).

We smile, because we know that it happens.  Maybe we did it, or something similar, like children prices at the movie theater.  But as the above verse suggests asserts, “whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.”  We night think it’s no big deal, kind of innocent really.  But in reality it is a big deal, because…

I was raised in a Christian family and my earliest childhood memories include regular Sunday school and Church attendance as a family. I was taught that our Judeo-Christian values were not just a part of our Sunday routine they should be part of our character and influence all aspects of our lives. I was also taught that as important as these values were they could not save us. We must also be “born again” by accepting Christ.

  1. You’re right Steve, give them no opening to take root and fester. Had an incident recently with a block of cheese (long story), but I had no rest until I went back and paid for it. Clerk said he had rung it in but he hadn’t, I HAD to go back! Unreal how something as seemingly innocent as that can stay on your mind. Blessings brother!
