Choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD. (Joshua 24:15, NIV 1984).

My Musings – Some earnestly profess faith in Christ, but get pre-occupied with making a living instead of making a life. Pursuing happiness instead of experiencing joy. Driven by ambition instead of compassion and humility. Intent on making a name for themselves rather than proclaiming the name of Christ. We must seriously ask ourselves who it is that we are serving.

I was raised in a Christian family and my earliest childhood memories include regular Sunday school and Church attendance as a family. I was taught that our Judeo-Christian values were not just a part of our Sunday routine they should be part of our character and influence all aspects of our lives. I was also taught that as important as these values were they could not save us. We must also be “born again” by accepting Christ.
