My Musings – This is from Paul’s letter, written to the church in Colossae somewhere between A.D. 60-64. He may as well be writing to any church today. Who says that the Bible is no longer relevant?
We are a culture that is increasingly being taken with “empty philosophies and high-sounding nonsense.” We must be very careful when our source is other “than from Christ.” Like the men of Athens, we spend way too much “time doing nothing but talking about and listening to the latest ideas,” (Acts 17:21, NIV 1984), that all too often are contrary to the “God-breathed” Word of God.
