Isaiah 30:21 – Whether you turn to the right or left, your ears will hear a voice behind you saying, “This is the way; walk in it.” (NIV 1978)
My Musings – If we turn the right way, the voice affirms us – “yes, you’re going the right way.” If we turn the wrong way, the voice corrects us – “turn around, you’re going the wrong way.” We need to pay attention.
My Advice – You will face many decisions in your life. For many, it will not be readily apparent to you which way to choose. You may get advice from many different sources. Make sure that you listen carefully for God’s “voice.” It may not be the loudest one. The devil will do all he can to distract and drown out. 1 Kings 19:13, 15 – Then a voice said to Him, “What are you doing here, Elijah?” The Lord said to Him, “Go back the way you came.” (NIV 1978)
My Musing – We often find ourselves where we should not be. Sometimes we fall suddenly and others we wander away gradually over time. But God pursues us and asks through the conviction of the Holy Spirit “What are you doing here? Go back the way you came.” We would do well to heed Him.
My Advice – Ask yourself on a regular basis, where am I at, how did I get here and what am I doing here? If you don’t like the answer, ask God to show you how to get back the way you came. He will gladly help you.
