The Best of Times, the Worst of Times

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven: to be born to die, to plant to uproot, to kill to heal, to tear down to build, to weep to laugh, to mourn to dance, to scatter to gather, to embrace to refrain, to search to give up, to keep to throw away, to tear to mend, to be silent to speak, to love to hate, for war and for peace. (NIV 1984)

My Musings – We should do our best to be prepared for whatever season we are encountering. To make the most of the good seasons and to persevere during the bad.

My Advice – You will encounter many seasons in your life. Some good and some bad. Enjoy the good and learn from the bad. Be thankful for the good and for the lessons learned from the bad.

I was raised in a Christian family and my earliest childhood memories include regular Sunday school and Church attendance as a family. I was taught that our Judeo-Christian values were not just a part of our Sunday routine they should be part of our character and influence all aspects of our lives. I was also taught that as important as these values were they could not save us. We must also be “born again” by accepting Christ.
