Improper Weariness

Galatians 6:9Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. (NIV 1978)

My Musing – The harvest is certain if we do not give up. The problem is we often look for instant gratification and grow impatient waiting for the proper time.

My Advice – Do good even if you never see a reward in it. Do it because it is right. The reality is you will be rewarded, if done with the right motive. It may not be right away, it may not even be in this lifetime. But even if no one else ever notices or acknowledges it, God does and will.

I was raised in a Christian family and my earliest childhood memories include regular Sunday school and Church attendance as a family. I was taught that our Judeo-Christian values were not just a part of our Sunday routine they should be part of our character and influence all aspects of our lives. I was also taught that as important as these values were they could not save us. We must also be “born again” by accepting Christ.
