Driftwood

Hebrews 2:1We must pay more careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away. (NIV 1978)

My Musings – It is easier to drift away if we do not pay attention.

My Advice – Pay attention to your life in Christ and to developing your relationship in Him. Keep your spiritual focus so you do not drift away.

I was raised in a Christian family and my earliest childhood memories include regular Sunday school and Church attendance as a family. I was taught that our Judeo-Christian values were not just a part of our Sunday routine they should be part of our character and influence all aspects of our lives. I was also taught that as important as these values were they could not save us. We must also be “born again” by accepting Christ.

Original blog posted April 9, 2019. In some respects, it seems like the Church has been drifting along some time now. Going with the flow of the waves. The waves are whipping up now into a tempest. We need to turn into the wind, resisting the tide of worldliness.
